Developed by students from Nanyang Polytechnic's School of Design & Media, ‘McDonald’s Dash’ serves up more fun and exclusive rewards for McDonald’s app users.

Hungry customers are lining up, and it’s a race to fill their orders, keep them happy, and score big. It’s a fast-paced, feel-good challenge that’s all about spreading joy—one happy customer at a time.

A Creative Collaboration with Local Talent

McDonald’s Dash isn't just any project—it was created by the bright minds from NYP’s School of Design & Media (SDM). The game brought together students from the Diploma in Game Development & Technology (GDT) and the Diploma in Digital Game Art & Design (DGAD). These budding developers and artists gained valuable real-world experience working with an international brand like McDonald’s, from brainstorming ideas to perfecting the final game. This fun and engaging project not only brings a fresh digital experience to McDonald’s customers but also showcases the creativity of Singapore’s youth.

The results speak for themselves, with vibrant designs and engaging gameplay that are sure to keep players hooked.

Jason Wang, lecturer at NYP, was thrilled with the collaboration: "Nanyang Polytechnic's partnership with McDonald's to develop McDonald's Dash has been a success. Our learners gained firsthand experience creating work for a client. They stepped out of their comfort zones to build a game that appeals to the general public while also challenging a teenage audience. I hope the public enjoys the game as much as we enjoyed developing it."

The students themselves relished the opportunity to work on such a significant project.

Yee Hong, lead programmer from GDT, shares his experience: "Initially, I was nervous about working with such a big company. But once we started, the project was incredibly fun and exciting. Our mentors challenged us to push past our creative boundaries, and we gained valuable insights and expertise along the way. We are proud to have created something that represents our hard work and the skills we've learned. It's been a journey that we're grateful for."
